Request Review
Request a review from a client for a completed notary order. This sends a secure invitation email to the client with a link to submit a verified review.
Review Types
The Notarial platform supports multiple review types:

When to Use
Use this action after an order has been completed and you want to request feedback from the client.
Best timing is within 24-48 hours of service completion while the experience is fresh in the client's mind.
Requirements
Before you can request a review, the order must meet these requirements:
- Order Status: Must be "Completed"
- Assigned Notary: Order must be assigned to a notary
- Signer Email: Order must have the client's email address
- No Previous Invitation: Each order can only have one invitation
What Happens
When you click "Request Review":
- System generates a unique, secure token (256-bit)
- Invitation email is sent to the client's email
- Token is valid for 90 days
- Client receives email with link to review form
- Client can submit 1-5 star rating and optional comment
Invitation Email Contents
The client receives an email with:
- Your notary name
- Order reference number
- Link to review submission page
- Brief explanation of verified reviews
- "Rate Your Experience" button
Verified Badge
Reviews submitted through this system display with a "✓ Verified Service" badge on public notary profiles, indicating:
- Review is from an actual client
- Tied to a completed order
- Submitted via secure invitation token

One Invitation Per Order
Each order can only have one review invitation. This prevents spam and ensures one review per service interaction.
If you need to send a new invitation:
- The original token must have expired (90 days)
- Contact support to reset the invitation status
Client Experience
What the Client Sees
- Email Invitation: Professional email with review link
- Review Form: Clean page with:
- Notary name and photo
- 5-star rating selector
- Optional text comment (max 2,000 characters)
- Submit button
- Confirmation: Thank you message after submission
No Account Required
Clients do NOT need to:
- Create an account
- Log in
- Provide any information beyond their rating/comment
The secure token verifies their identity automatically.
Viewing Invitation Status
Track invitation status in the Reviews dashboard:
- Pending: Sent, not yet submitted
- Submitted: Client submitted review
- Expired: 90 days passed without submission
Best Practices
- Send Promptly: Within 24-48 hours of completion
- Deliver Great Service: Reviews reflect actual experience
- Don't Spam: Only send once per order
- Be Patient: Give clients time to respond
- Respond to Reviews: Pro/Enterprise plans can respond publicly
Troubleshooting
"Request Review" Button Disabled
Check that:
- Order status is "Completed"
- Order has an assigned notary
- Order has a signer email
- No invitation was already sent
Client Didn't Receive Email
Possible causes:
- Email in spam folder
- Typo in email address
- Email server blocked the message
Solution: Verify email address and send support request.
Client Says Link Doesn't Work
- Check if link expired (90 days)
- Ensure token wasn't already used
- Copy full URL from email
Other Review Types
Company Reviews
For reviewing B2B companies (title companies, lenders, signing services):
- Navigate to Dashboard → Companies
- Click on the company
- Click "Leave a Review"
- Only available if your agency has completed orders with the company
Platform Reviews
For reviewing the Notarial.ink software:
- Navigate to Account Settings
- Only available for active subscribers
- One review per user
