Create Invoice Page

Create invoices for completed orders or for custom billing.

Page Overview

The Create Invoice page allows you to create invoices with line items, automatic calculations, and tax support.

Form Fields

1. Client Selection

  • Client: Dropdown to select existing client company

2. Order Selection (Optional)

  • Order Selector: After selecting a client, choose orders to include
  • Orders can be added to pre-populate line items

3. Dates

  • Issue Date: Invoice creation date (defaults to today)
  • Due Date: Payment deadline

4. Tax Rate

  • Tax Rate (%): Tax percentage to apply
  • Automatically calculates tax amount

5. Line Items

Each line item includes:

  • Description: Service or item description
  • Quantity: Number of units
  • Unit Price: Price per unit
  • Total: Auto-calculated (Quantity × Unit Price)

Click Add Line Item to add more rows.

6. Totals (Auto-calculated)

  • Subtotal: Sum of all line items
  • Tax: Subtotal × Tax Rate
  • Total: Subtotal + Tax

7. Notes & Terms

  • Notes: Additional notes for the invoice
  • Terms: Payment terms (Net 30, etc.)

Form Actions

  • Create Invoice: Save and create the invoice
  • Cancel: Return to invoices list without saving

Tips

  1. Select Client First: Order selector only appears after client is selected
  2. Use Orders: Adding orders auto-creates line items
  3. Edit Line Items: Modify descriptions, quantities, and prices as needed
  4. Check Totals: Review calculated totals before submitting
